Your Role

As Sales Consultant, you will be the driving force behind closing new clients for Skill Forge by setting appointments, conducting consultative sales conversations, and converting demos into signed deals. You’ll play a key role in refining our sales processes and helping businesses connect deeply with their ideal customers using strategic scorecard funnels.

Your 90-Day Mission

  • Close a minimum of 12 new scorecard clients (average 4 per month)
  • Conduct at least 5 qualified prospect conversations weekly
  • Achieve target of closing at least 1 deal per week (approximately 4 deals per month)
  • Follow up on demos promptly to convert leads within a 30-day window

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert discovery calls and demos into signed clients through consultative sales techniques
  • Generate and nurture outbound leads using email sequences, LinkedIn engagement, and tools like Apollo.io
  • Build and manage automated email marketing campaigns using Odoo (or similar CRM)
  • Collaborate with the founder to optimize messaging, positioning, and outreach strategies
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline data and report KPIs weekly

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years proven experience in B2B consultative sales, closing mid-ticket deals (~R10k–R50k)
  • Confident cold outreach and lead generation expertise via email, LinkedIn, Apollo.io, or similar
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms; experience with Odoo or ScoreApp is a plus
  • A proactive self-starter who thrives in autonomous, goal-driven roles
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to craft compelling messages

Compensation & Performance

  • Base: R8,000/month
  • Commission: 10% on each closed deal (average deal ~R12,000) plus ongoing 10% commission on recurring revenue from your clients while subscribed and in good standing
  • Commissions are paid monthly based on actual collected revenue after discounts
  • You are responsible for your own tax filings in accordance with South African law
  • Performance will be reviewed at the 3-month mark, with monthly check-ins, for contract extension consideration
